These pics were taken from our porch as a BIG thunderstorm approached. It was pretty spectacular. Though we got a lot of great pics, "You should have seen the ones that got away!" Lightening pics are tricky, but I think we got good results. Enjoy!

We recently got this trailer to expand our cargo capacity. With two of us the TJ provides enough space, but there's no possibility of taking friends off road. This Vietnam era ex-military trailer will provide the basis for an expedition trailer. The current plan is to clean it up, make it more compatible with current civilian Jeep parts and give it a lid for secure storage.

In the evening before I went to Tellico, I had time on my hands and experimented with taking pics of the campfire. I varied all of the exposure settings to just see what would happen. I think a lot of them came out well.

In June of 2006 we took our Jeep to the high country of north eastern New Mexico. I showed Susan around the Philmont Base Camp, then we spent a few days camping and wheeling in the National Forests around Cimarron, Taos and Red River.

In the spring of 2005 we took a little holiday to Joshua Tree National Park in a rented Jeep Wrangler. We had a blast tooling around on the dirt roads and four wheel drive trails. That winter had been unusually wet, so the desert was especially colorful.
